The people of ilupeju/ifesowapo and power line area in ojodu and ifako ijaiye local government area  has send a save our soul message to the action governor of Lagos state, Mr.akinwunmi Ambode to save their life’s, children and property from flood due to the neglect on the oyemekun/alagbole canal which has been blocked for sometime after the state government clear the canal 9years ago, the residents who are now counting their losses due to the first rain that left some many house in flood, the heavy flood was cause by the blockage of the oyemekun/alagbole canal in the area, when this paper visited the area on the 7^th of march, we  were told that all the residence in that area now leaves on fear of possible flood anytime its rains.

Speaking with this medium the spokesperson for the landlords association of the most affected community,ilupeju Community.Mr.James Ajekoogan lamented that if the state government has given enough attention to their plight the situation will not be as worst as it is today, our children swims inside water to go to school, while they all leaves in fear of any possible attack of flood in the area, Doctor has he is fondly called, appeal to the state governor, Mr. Akinwunmi  Ambode to please use his good office to help them direct the Ministry of Work to help them clear the canal to enable the free flow of the canal anytime it rains. He said the good people of ilupeju/ifesowapo/power line is ever ready to contribute their own quota to the development of the state, he said if the governor can do that for them they will ever remain grateful to the governor. Speaking in the said vain Mr. Osho Babatunde,Lekan Olajide,Femi Awolere and Funsho Adebayo whose houses were also taken over by the flood said, they have that believe and trust on the capability of the governor to make life more meaningful for lagosian also prayed that God to give the state governor the wisdom to address their predicament as they are all leaving in fear of another flood attack, they want the state government in a matter of urgency come to their rescue before the situation go out of hand

It was as that junction that God open his servant eyes to go and look for a bigger place of worship, so God open the eyes of his servant Dr Chris okafor to locate oshofisan street in ojodu Berger where the permanent headquarter of the church is now located and with God on liberation city side the beautiful edifice was erected without stress, the edifice was erected without borrowing money from any bank or anybody, today the church has continue to grow from strength to strength, with lot of testimonies to the glory of God ,as things move on the administration of the church can be compared to any church administration in the world, the liberation television cannot be over emphasized as many soul has be won to the kingdom of God through the channel, Chris okafor humanity foundation too has been torching life’s through it empowerment programmed, as of today the foundation has empowered over 300 trained artisan with cash base of 50,000 each to starts something on their own, the Chris okafor world outreach ministry cannot be ,left out, so many countries has been visited through the COWOM  Crusade. The monthly widow empowerment program  is one of the achievement of the church, also many books has been written to be the man of God, aimed at redirecting the life’s of the people, the monthly devotional books too help in reshaping the prayer life of the people. Also the prophetic ministries witness various family deliverance, the peak was when the man of God raise a dead body back to life, this happen in lokoja kogi state at one of the COWOM crusade in the confluence city, also so many plane crash has been averted through the prayer of the church, the most recent prophetic declaration was the permanent nailed out of Ebola from the country, After the nailed out of Ebola virus by liberation city the united nation declared Nigeria a free Ebola country.  The church also witness some trying time few years ago when the man of God was kidnapped by some kidnappers, it was a trying period but to God it was a test of the spirit, God uses that period to explained a fact that he not only want him to win the soul of the ordinary man but to win the soul of the men of the underworld, this he did while in their camp. Liberation city has been able to extend its hand of fellowship to the less privilege; the church has invested million of naira on the poor and they are giving their life to Christ, Liberation Television is now been viewed across the globe with the single mandate to bring the world close to Christ. A new group of Soft Sell Publishers trading under the name GUILD OF SOFT SELL PUBLISHERS has berthed. The new group with initials (GoSP) is an assemblage of like mind publishers of soft sell magazines in Lagos. The group rose from a meeting that also served as the inauguration of their new association the Guild of Soft-Sell Publishers (GoSP) on Wednesday 19, 2015 at popular fun spot De Genesix Hotel,9 abo aba street,off ajayi road Oke Ira Lagos.
 
In the meeting, the GoSP decries the dearth of investigative journalism in the industry, while pledging that the group would be committed to giving all affected parties fair chance to explain their sides to stories.
 
The members of the GoSP includes; Sahara Weekly Magazine, Urban Life Magazine, Islanders International Magazine, City Pride Magazine, Society Gazette Magazine, Beth News Magazine, The Society Nigeria, Blissful Affairs Magazine, Society Herald Magazine, Conquest Magazine and Access magazine
 
Members of the group explained that the formation became necessary when they are not properly represented like other such organizations like Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN), and that the group is to monitor, control and educate its members on investigative reportage which is the bed rock of soft sell, while to also serve the people undiluted and truthfully at all times.

The General Overseer of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries, Dr Chris Okafor has reaffirmed its commitment towards the empowerment of more Nigerians through the Chris Okafor Humanitarian Foundation Initiatives.

While distributing cash gifts of N50, 000 to each of the 150 graduates of the skills acquisition programme organised by the Foundation, Dr. Okafor said “The Lord helped the Foundation to pursue and achieve various goals, win more souls for God’s kingdom within and outside the country, organise several life-changing programmes, empower youths through our diverse initiatives and also become worthy ambassadors of Christ.”

He said the empowerment was to reduce the number of worshippers coming to ask for welfare from the church as well as for them to be self-reliant. “The Liberation skills acquisition programme is to ensure that as we are not only preaching to people to be born again, we also want to impact their lives positively by empowering them to do something for themselves.

“In most cases people come to the church for alms, food and help in one way or the other, but giving them something to make money for themselves will reduce that.

Dr. Okafor expressed optimism that the empowered worshipers would prosper and make profits in their respective businesses. He added that with their hard work, the worshipers were expected to return with good reports and how successful they would be.

He urged the beneficiaries to put their efforts into whatever they were to do and as well pass on to others the empowerment skill they had received.

The Church also gave out 13 cars to some deserving members of the church at the event.
