The holy bible says the widows are the eyes of the lord, so they must be taking care of, even the bible also said God is the husband of the widows. To this background the liberation city has taken this biblical principle to fold as the church has make it a monthly commitment to give succumb to all the widows who are liberationite and even to widows who are not members, to this Liberation city as part of it commitment gave out over 3,000 bags of rice and other important materials to the widows for the month of may 2015.before giving out those commodities the senior pastor of Liberation city and the visional of the project Dr Chris Okafor said, it is the collective responsibility of all to come to the aid of the widows, he said God in heaven will be happy with anybody or organization that embark in the art of giving to the widows because they are the eyes of God, The oracle of God also explained that there are lot of benefits from God for those who bless the widow in whatever capacity they can, using a biblical verse to back it up saying
it’s better to give than to receive. He said Liberation city has made it mandatory to give out food items and clothing on a monthly basis’s to the widows. Over 2,500 widows were given rice and other materials at it glorious Sunday services on the 31st may 2015. It will be recalled that the church just ended a three days power packed harvest of babies’ crusades where over 15,001 barren women were liberated from the pit of barrenness and they have carried their babies with faith. Also the Chris Okafor foundation is also set to trains men and women in various field of endeavor to be self empower for greater challenges, the foundation will also empower all the train artisans with cash to enable them procure machine and material for the field they are trained.
