LG CHAIRMANSHIP CALAMITY TUSSLE ROCK APC,

Crisis is rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) over coming local government election. In Lagos state.
Society Herald News gathered from a reliable source that the party leaders has instructed 19 former LG Chairman to return without primaries which party members at local level has totally rejected that internal democracy must be sustained. Based on this we visited some affected local government/LCDA and the outcome is not pleasant at all as party loyalists at grassroots’ level has vowed to leave the party if primaries is not allowed.
Ifako/Ijaye-Apostle Toba Oke is said to comeback without primaries, though some party loyalist agreed while minority said capital No that they should go for primaries.
Agboyi/Ketu-At Agboyi Ketu, they lost the chairman who is supposed to return to make it 19 and as such the party loyalist wants primaries or use the former SLG Mr. Dele Osinowo.
Ikosi Isheri.-Is a thug of war as party members completely reject Oyesanya Abdulfatai to return as chairman. In fact like 70℅ of party members has said they will do all within there capacity to make sure he does not return.
Ojodu LCDA.Ogba-This is another LCDA where the party has said Oloro the former chairman must not return. It was a bad experience on Tuesday in Ogba as aggrieved party members resisted alleged attempts to impose Hon Oloro as chairmanship candidate for the LCDA.
Our reporter, who was at the scene, escaped being injured as chairs and other items were freely used to attack alleged agents of leaders who are bent on imposing the Hon Julius Oloro on them. Party members sustained injuries, with others scampering for safety, 3 were admitted in an undisclosed hospital within the area. Policemen from Area G, Ogba later drafted to the scene to stop the violence.
Efforts is in process to speak with the LG party chairman, Hon. Kelvin Ajakaye and a source close to him said he will speak with journalists after due clearance from the state Chairman of APC, Otunba Henry Ajomale.
However, A strong party member in the state who does not want his name in print, said, “They have started what led to the loss of some local governments in the 2015 elections, because they do not want primary. We want members to freely elect whoever should represent them at the local government, but they don’t want popular people; they want to impose their preferred candidates. And, we will not agree to this evil plan.” he said

Kindly tell us about yourself?
Welcome brother my names are: Olagookun Eniola I studied B.comm at UNISA and currently going through a new program in UNILAG....
Tell me other things I need to know about you?
Is an Ordinary person who life also likes other people’s life, I was born by a pensioner dad and trader mom.... No steady three square meal, I attended a public schools, even sometimes no prompt school fees payment, also no Christmas clothes nor birthday cakes that was the kind of background I came from, hope you can understand how things are so difficult then..
Tell me how did it all start with entertainment, your sojourn into the music world?
.I started as an event and portrait photographer My brother is an artiste as well so
Showbiz interest runs in d family

Tell us about your record label and how long have you been in the system?
Enlag entertainment as a label as created one of the best singles released in urban music in the last two years... With good videos and star artiste collaborations...The artistes have performed in most coveted stages and venues in Nigeria like delineation, industry nite, Freedom Park, most a list clubs
Any challenged so far?
Major challenges are expensive media and no copyright law enforcement....many bloggers will upload your exclusive iTunes releases for free on their blogs, some will use your song commercially without paying you, and u pay for almost all media publicity no matter how little.... So a hit song could still be a long way from recoup of investments....
Any way out on those challenges you highlighted?
My way out of that is to do my own shows with my artistes headlining with other popular acts So instead of waiting for music sales n bookings...we book n sell our music at d venues...

Do you have any artiste on your record label if yes kindly tell us his or her name?
I don't have a major artiste on my label, just upcoming artistes with great potential..

So how long have you been in the system?
Have been in the system for just 2years professionally...

Any plan for a foreign trip as part of activities line up for your artiste this year?
Programs for my artiste are club tours, star features, concept videos, viral marketing, and star cosigns....more media publicity...

Tell us your experience so far in the industry and where you actually taught needed to be corrected?
Entertainment is what I have been passionate about, what prompted me to start a record label in 2014 was that there are too many random and average acts been shoved down people’s throat as great artiste.... So I decided to bring different artistes and brand that's has game changer vibe. This year, I plan on monthly shows and more viral marketing to get my artiste out there on bigger platform. It has never been a smooth journey because am promoting new act that's not on the trend bandwagon, but with different music that can set the new trend,
As the government done enough to encourage players in the entertainment industry?
The government just keeps promising support for the entertainment industry, we don't have copyright law enforcement yet the government needs to enforce copyright laws, so we can combat the big piracy market that has been earning almost all our profits...

Lot of people complaint about originality in most of Nigerians artistes song, did you agree with this or not?
On originality, No I am absolutely not satisfied yet but outboard popular acts in Nigeria deserved to be praised for their unique styles n lyrics but too many are still chasing latest trends....

Can we compare the entertainment industry in Nigeria with the western world?
Nigerian entertainment industry can't be compared with its foreign counterparts because of lack of structure and music law enforcement, but it can be compared in terms of good videos, talent, popularity, income from shows and our online says skyrocketed in last three years with Nigerian artiste like ajebutter, tuface, reminisce, wizkid, olamide knocking out their foreign counterparts on world online stores like iTunes....

Who are the people you are looking up to in the industry?
I look up to obi Asika, Jimmy Jatt. Keke Kenny, Sunday Are, Paulo of one Africa, Efe Omorogbe...

Are you married?
I'm a young business man from Lagos,(insert the business) my name is Eniola olagookun and YES! I'm MARRIED!
So how do you relax and how do you handle the opposite sex?
YES! I enjoy traveling too with families,I relax with music and good drinks in a cool environment... With babes?? NO! But YES! With families as that's a PLUS! Smiles

Philips Launches Clipper designed to eliminate rashes and bumps…as winners emerge in Philips’ battle of barbers

Philips International, under its Personal Healthcare Business Unit, has introduced to the Nigerian market, the first of its kind clippers designed to ensure no after-shave bumps and rashes. The company said the new clippers have specially developed blades to reduce the risk of cuts when clipping your hair or beard, offering the confidence of a precise cut and shave without the humiliating damaged skin.
The company also said the new Clippers are designed to give a close precision cut or shave, cutting the hair at skin level. It added that the new Philips clippers also offer the freedom to play with multiple hairstyles by simply adjusting the blade and clicking-on different length combs.
“Philips conducted extensive research across a cross-section of men in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa before it developed and carried out extensive field tests on the Clipper taking into account the core concerns that came out in the research – mainly the need to get that clean shaving feeling but to avoid the scratches, cuts and bumps that sometimes develop on the skin,” states Chioma Iwuchukwu-Nweke, General Manager, Philips Personal Health-West Africa.
“These are the first clippers Philips is introducing in the African market, underscoring our commitment to delivering innovation based on the need of the consumers. Our new clippers cut your hair, not your skin. This not only ensures that you have a painless short and sharp look, but also improves your overall skin health,” said Ms. Iwuchukwu-Nweke.
The two clippers in the range, the Philips Clipper Pro (ideal for professional barber styling) and Philips Clipper Home (for personal use) offer blades designed to avoid cuts and bumps for optimal skin comfort, close precision and durability.
The Pro clipper is designed for a powerful expert trim, cut or shave. Its chrome matt finish is complemented by a smart textured handle for a comfortable grip and a 2.8m cord to give a greater reach and to easily move around while clipping. It comes with seven click-on Combs as well as a styling comb and scissors.
The Home clipper has lacquering, textured high gloss plastic finish and a 2.4m cord; and comes with four click-on Combs including the 3mm, 6mm, 9mm or 12mm combs.
The new robust design promises to become a hair-loom for generations to come. Its strong steel blades are manufactured to withstand chips and cracks lasting up to four times longer than the leading brand, while its state-of-the-art copper motor coil will outrun its predecessor four times over.
To put the new product into test, a pan-Nigeria competition among barbers tagged ‘Philips’ battle of barbers’ was staged as part of the product launch.
The competition, which is set to become an annual showpiece, aims at promoting innovation, artistry, precision and professional dignity among barbers in the country. It also underscores Philips Nigeria’s effort to enliven the global Philips’ brand vision of impacting the lives of 3 billion people by year 2025 through innovation that matters to their health, living and wellbeing.
Five finalists had earlier emerged from regional finals which took place in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt. While three of the finalists emerged from the Lagos region, Abuja and Port-Harcourt regions produced one winner respectively.
At the grand finale which took place on Thursday last week at Protea Hotel, GRA Ikeja, Lagos, the five finalists slugged it out for the star prize of N250,000 and a supply of full barbing kits, among other mouth watering gifts.

For example, international beauty pageants in europe, america or Uk are different from beauty pageants in asia, africa and the rest of the world. The beauty pageants in the aforementioned promote bikini or obscenity and their way of life and this degrade the girl child while many beauty pageants in asia, africa and other continents promote their cultural heritage and Tourism of the continents. All beauty pageants in the world promote tourism and it all depends on its aims and objectives to the girl child. Any beauty pageants in Nigeria that have international franchise or representation in Europe, america or Uk are connected to bikini  segment of pageant which is not part of our African culture.
