The much talked about “CELEBRATE BENUE HEROES” a cultural and tourism development programmed aimed at unfolding all the tourism potential of Benue state to the whole world is expected to begin on the 30th of June 2016 with a world press conference in Makurdi the state capital. Celebrate Benue Heroes is part of the many program line up as part of event to mark the 40th birthday of the state created in 1976. 2011 MTN Project Fame Winner, Monica Ogah, Nigeria Popular Comedian Alli Baba and the 40 Tiivs is expected to be Unveils among others as Faces of Benue Heroes. The main event comes up in October this year.

According to the organizer of the event Ontrade Solid Concept Limited, the Programme is aim as celebrating the social cultural and huge Tourism Potential of the Food Basket state of the nation for investors to see good reasons on what they will benefit if they invest in Benue state. In a chat with the press, the principal consultant of Ontrade Solid concept Limited, Sanny Ogenyi, who highlighted the various programme lined up for the 40 years anniversary said, the wife of the state governor, Her Excellency, Mrs. Ortom, Monica Ogah, Alli Baba and the 40 tiivs will be among the faces of Benue Hero at the main event coming up in October, while some other notable Benue indigenes who have done exceedingly well in their areas of specialization will also be honored. Explaining further, Ogenyi said the celebration will begin with a world press conference coming up on the 30th of June 2016 and nominations for Benue Hero Award. A business conference and launching of Benue State art gallery will hold. There will be Benue Day featuring ethnic groups in and out of Benue State; The Benue Hero Award which will serve as the grand finale at the Benue Hotel, Makurdi.
